As another year rolls by,
   Giving its way to the new;
              It gives us a message to analyse,
Our overburdened view.

                    How many grudges and perceptions,
We carry over the years;
       Do not even seem to realize,
                   Its impact on life’s various spheres.

                    It’s just like carrying loads of weight,
   At all times good and bad;
                            And influencing the way we value people,
    On experiences that we had.
    

       So let us begin the new year,
                   Understanding the actual word new;
                And burn the negativity within us,
           When we wish this year adieu.

time to count our blessings,
our
endless good fortunes.
Let us
also not forget,
People
less fortunate;
As they
carry on their daily routine;
Every
day, just the same;
No gifts
to make their faces glow,
No new
dresses to proclaim.
So let us
give our tiny bit,
To play
our personal roles;
To bring
a smile to a forlorn face,
And
rejuvenate our souls.
