New Year Wishes

As another year rolls by,
Giving its way to the new;
It gives us a message to analyse,
Our overburdened view.
How many grudges and perceptions,
We carry over the years;
Do not even seem to realize,
Its impact on life’s various spheres.
It’s just like carrying loads of weight,
At all times good and bad;
And influencing the way we value people,
On experiences that we had.
So let us begin the new year,
Understanding the actual word new;
And burn the negativity within us,
When we wish this year adieu.

Deepawali Greetings

Deepawali Greetings

Let us
celebrate with sheer delight,
the
festival that spreads joy and light.
The
houses all spotless,
The
spirits all high;
To all
our worries and grudges,
It’s the
time to say GoodBye!!
It’s the
time to celebrate,
With
family and loved ones;
And also
time to count our blessings,
our
endless good fortunes.
Let us
also not forget,
People
less fortunate;
As they
carry on their daily routine;
Every
day, just the same;
No gifts
to make their faces glow,
No new
dresses to proclaim.
So let us
give our tiny bit,
To play
our personal roles;
To bring
a smile to a forlorn face,
And
rejuvenate our souls.

The Joys of Motherhood

As you take the first look,
At the face so tender and naïve;
You are transformed to a different world,
swept by an unknown wave.
One look at your smiling bundle,
and you are filled with pride and glee,
And that’s a unique positive feeling,
Any mother will surely agree.
You gently assure his searching eyes,
That you will be the best mother;
At the same time you promise yourself,
You will never let your flower wither.
As time goes by, and he grows up fast,
And you feel he needs you no more;
Your re-assuring look he still needs,
If about anything, he is not sure.
The connection always is there,
The memories of it so fond;
Reminding both the mother and child,
About the most rejuvenating bond.

International Women's Day

A woman is the most special creation of God. She amazingly balances out her multitude of roles. A caring sister, a darling daughter, an adorable wife and a patient mother to her kids, all rolled into one. She can be the inspiration behind her daughter’s moral values or an invisible support for her husband’s infinite career aspirations.

She has the fantastic ability to multiplex various activities at the same time. She might be planning for dinner one moment. The next she is busy making rangoli with her kid. She might be as career oriented and professional, but immediately caters to a family need as and when needed.

She never regrets the career breaks taken to bring up her child and does’nt think twice before shifting to a new location if her husband finds a better career there. She has only one mantra “FAMILY FIRST”. So, on international women’s day, I take this opportunity to say Kudos to all the great women in the world, from Kiran Bedi to Kalpana chawla and many more unsung women of India whose unending efforts and sincerity are not even recognized.

Happy New Year

NEW YEAR WISHES
These New Year wishes are meant to say,
A lot more than it actually conveys;
It's meant to wish the choicest dreams,
And success come your way.
Laughter and good cheer,
And family blessings abound;
Fulfillment of all your dreams,
Casual or profound..
Health at it's level best,
Because it nothing can replace;
Oodles of peace of mind,
The almighty's highest grace.
But also at the same time,
Sit back and analyze;
How you've grown as a person,
and your scope to improvise.
The virtues we grew up with,
Are they still intact,
Or gushed away in the race of life,
With self are you in contact??
So take up a resolution,
To re-empower your soul;
Make your life worth living,
Play an encouraging role.
And as you improve your self- worth,
You will feel more blessed;
And look at yourself with a smile,
And conquer all your quests.
